LS Falcon FTW!!! size dont matter s**t mate check specs The LS1 was rated at 350 hp (260 kW) and 365 lbf·ft (495 N·m) since 2001 (LS6 Intake), 1997-2000 350 lbf·ft (470 N·m) in North America, depending on the application.[2] The LS1 was used in the Corvette from 97-04. It was also used in GM F-Body cars with a rating of 305HP - 325HP. In Australia, continuous modifications were made to the LS1 engine throughout its lifetime, reaching 382 bhp (285 kW) in the HSV's YII series, and a Callaway modified version named "C4B" was fitted to HSV GTS models producing 402 bhp (300 kW). now lets check coyote The 4-valve DOHC Ti-VCT 5.0 L made Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2011.[17] Vehicles equipped with the 32-valve DOHC Ti-VCT 5.0 L include the following: 2011 Ford Mustang GT, 412 hp (307 kW) @ 6500 rpm, 390 lb·ft (529 N·m) @ 4250 rpm 2011 Ford F150, 360 hp (268 kW) @ 5500 rpm, 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) @ 4250 rpm [18] 2011 Ford Falcon GT,[19][20] Supercharged, 449 hp (335 kW) @ 5750 rpm, 420 lb·ft (569 N·m) @ 2200-5500 rpm[16] 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302, 444 hp (331 kW) @ 7500 rpm, 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) @ 4500 rpm [13][21]

LS1 is still better value for money.
Locally available. T56 is an easy bolt up with local parts lots of knowledge about dropping them in other cars loads of aftermarket support the coyote is a better motor, but it would be far from cheap.

Your looking at $7k + Shipping, Customs fees, GST and all import related charges for a motor alone, then you need to buy a box. To do an LS, your looking at change from just the Coyote. {USERNAME} wrote: size dont matter s**t mate check specs The LS1 was rated at 350 hp (260 kW) and 365 lbf·ft (495 N·m) since 2001 (LS6 Intake), 1997-2000 350 lbf·ft (470 N·m) in North America, depending on the application.[2] The LS1 was used in the Corvette from 97-04. The LS2 on the otherhand: The LS2 was introduced as the Corvette's new base engine for the 2005 model year. It also appeared as the standard powerplant for the 2005-2006 GTO. It produces 400 bhp (300 kW)@6000rpm and 400 lbf·ft (540 N·m)@4400rpm from a slightly larger displacement of 5,967 cc (5.967 L; 364.1 cu in). It is similar to the high-performance LS6, but with improved torque throughout the rpm range. The LS2 uses the "243" casting heads used on the LS6 (although without the sodium filled valves), a smaller camshaft, and an additional 18 cubic inches. The compression of the LS2 was also raised to 10.9:1 compared to the LS1s 10.25:1 and the LS6s 10.5:1. The LS2s in the E-series HSVs are modified in Australia to produce 412 bhp (307 kW) and 412 lbf·ft (559 N·m). The LS2s in the Chevrolet Trailblazer SS and the Saab 9-7X Aero are rated at 395 bhp (295 kW) (2006–2007) or 390 bhp (290 kW) (2008–2009) and 400 lbf·ft (540 N·m) of torque due to a different (sometimes referred to as a "truck") intake manifold that produces more torque at lower RPMs. It is commonly known that an LS2 with a cam, OTRCAI, valve springs, exhaust and tune will pull 300+rwkw. BFYB Winner by far.

it pains me to say this but sadly he's right, f**k you can pickup a complete donor say a vz clubie pranged etc. plus the gear to convert for probably still less than you'll swindle a coyote.
Also who has local major support other than ford, followed by the f**k size of the f**k. sadly a s**t easier to do something with.

Your looking at around $5k for a rear ended VZ HSV, sell off the gear you don't need or can't use (interior, brakes, kit etc) and come out with a 297kw 6L for peanuts. if you can do a majority of the work yourself, I can't see why the conversion couldn't be completed for under $6k out of pocket.

do your research bud and compare the price of a brand new LS engine to coyote.
Also dollar for dollar it seems the coyote pulls more hp gains...........

Until there are cheaper options for the coyote/miami in the 2nd hand market.. which will be a LONG way off, i'd go an LS1/2 aswell.

It's all about bang for your buck, and currently, the LS is the best BFYB V8 available in Australia. Cost vs Benefit, it isn't there with a blown 5L Miami at this point in time. Why spend $20k on a Ford engine to get the same power as you can get for under $10k with an LS?
