lol i work on these holden crap boxes everyday and all i hear about is LS1-2 and you get over it they think that these are the only engines made.
And by the sounds of it all Ford people sound the same. Why not go with a windsor 5.6 stroker, the AU TE50 proved that is an awesome engine doing easily into the 13's with a good driver.

i dont think there is much prob with putting a GM motor in a ford.
If you take out all the GM parts in a ford not much would be left and the same for Ford parts in Gm i have worked in a few factorys for holdens and alot of ford parts and built in the same factory and are the same parts just go in a different box at the end of the line |

Its funny to watch all the to'ing and fro'ing about GM vs Ford...I really thought this crap got left back in the 80's with the Ford and Holden jackets...At the end of the day, the car don't care whats powering it, the cars and engines are all built in factories by people that largely don't give a flying F**k about what they're building (I worked at GMH as a tradie for years, you'd think it would be full of `red army' but as many people working there drive Fords as in the rest of the population) So, they are built by people who really aren't brand loyal yet when they roll out the factory people want to fight over them...
Many, if not most hot rods older than `48 are Fords, most of these are powered by smallblock Chevs...why? Cos they are shorter and fit better and do the job. Its just a practicality thing. Many serious cars, Holdens included, run 9" Ford diffs - why? They are plentiful and strong. Now with this LS question its the same thing - they're cheap(er) than , say, a Coyote, they're a lot narrower etc. Why not use one? My cars got a clevo 351 now, but I've thought about LS motors for when it dies - its not going to make the car implode or anything - if I kill the LS and put a clevo or windsor or anything else in later who cares??

come on guys if he does it then gud for him, not my thing 2 put a holden engine in2 a ford when you could spend 6k on playin round with the engine in the car and get the same power out of it. But every1 is different and it is different 2 what other people have done

Also dollar for dollar it seems the coyote pulls more hp gains........... why go brand new? Until there are cheaper options for the coyote/miami in the 2nd hand market.. which will be a LONG way off, i'd go an LS1/2 aswell. Becuz u can't compare a 2nd hand unit to something brand new... why don't u wait another 12 months a d I. Sure there will be 2nd hand coyote for sale. Also when it comes for sale u will have way more interest in the coyote conversion over LS...

ofcourse you can compare 2nd hand to brand new, there are postives and negatives with each, but you can compare both options.
and when a second hand coyote comes up... enjoy the price. given people still want $4000-$5000 for a Boss motor and trans.

LS with a mafless tune is a very viable and cost effective combo in a light E series. As a drag car- dont think you could get a better combo for the cash. i reacon you would be looking at mid to low 12's. Try getting those times out of any ford motor for the same outlay.

you disgust me, how could you disgrace a beautifully built falcon with that crap?. I cringe at the sight of GM stamped on the inside of my interior light cover.

On what planet are the `beautifully built Falcons' from? My coupe and every other ford I've ever owned is chucked together - thats half the fun of owning one because you are fixing and improving stuff. Mate, Fords and Holdens are both made in factories by production workers who really don't care - believe me, I've worked in 2 of the big three - built to a price as cheaply as possible. Don't get all misty eyed about how one is sooooo much better than the other - you're dreaming.
