Just been looking at these ally gt40 heads on summit and just wondered if they were fitted to an australian windsor.
For the price-less than 500 bucks us they seem pretty well priced for ally heads.
Are these the almost copy of gt40p heads but in aluminium?
Sorry if these question have been asked before, i have heard of gt40x heads but apparently they arent available anymore.

The X in the part number means they ARE GT40X heads....they are much better than 40p's.

For 524 aussie dollars plus shipping/handling do you think they are worth the dollars?
I only plan to use the stock 220kw cam in my combo, would these heads be overkill?
Cheers for the reply

I'd pay the extra and go the AFR's anyway.

Unfortunately both sets are out of my ballpark, but after checking the price on afr heads anyone with a spare $1573 aussie plus shipping can have a set.
How the hell do shops in perth charge 3000-3500?

You could do it with the gt40 heads coz they are sold separate but the afrs are sold as a pair, dont know if you could send them separately(i havent ever inquired though so anythings possible)

I've used the following website to check these sorts of questions for a number of years now:
--->Head Info Centre<---
You can compare a bunch of the more traditional heads with eachother - a very useful feature.
