G'day guys
After alot of humming and harring I've finaly decided what I'm going to do with this motor in the EB I've just bought. The plan is to supercharge it using an Eaton (SVT) M112 and a custom made manifold that will bolt to an explorer lower intake. Bonnet clearance will be an issue yes, but noting a reverse scoop and big hole in the bonnet won't fix. But I want to know how well the standard MAF is capable of handling boost, This won't be a HUGE HP drag car but more of a weekender, cruiser car. Should a MAF calabrated for bigger injectors be used? One other thing, The dissy will be in the way of the blower snout, so I'd like to convert it to coilpacks using an AU VR sensor and CAS. I've seen this done here http://www.detomaso.nu/~thomast/efi/ He used an EEC for a 90's Stang (A9L?) with a Tweecer to convert it to Coils, Or I could use my megasquirt kit I have here. I wouldn't mind using the standard ford gear though, I really don't know how to tune the engine myself. Cheers!

If you use the maf in the draw through configuration as opposed to blowthru it will make like easier with tuning etc.
Really depends on how you are goning to tune, megasquirt should be able to be enough to handle it. Really not sure about how it would go with coilpacks etc... The standard maf may be restrictive, its possible better to go for a larger maf (porbably 75- 80- 90mm).

I think I have an AU MAF housing with the EB internals in it.

How will the standard A9L or A9P go with boost while the motor is run in?

Your EEC will handle it fine, in fact the same EEC is used in the T-bird SC 3.8L. You'll need a larger MAF most likely though. If you want to use EDIS use an A9* EEC and an EDIS-8 module.

Ok you'll need at least an 80mm MAF.
