Hi

Can anyone recommend size of magnaflow muffler for AU XR8 dependant on floorplan and note. I have a twin 2.5" system.

Would the different sizes affect the note? I'm guessing it would. I think I am running 8" x11" at the moment ??

Check out my build thread, last page.

You can get the 5x8" oval mufflers for a lower profile, or you can get the 5/6" round magnapacks like i have. I have Super low springs and they only every scrape If i'm going over something that's steep and angled, it's fine over speed bumps. I would highly recommend the magnapacks.

cool thanks mate.

something like this

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shop ... in&id=9205 or the round ones like this

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shop ... in&id=9275

what would be the difference in noise anf flow of these. I'm suspecting the round ones would be similar to a hotdog and be quite raspy.

I have the 6" on my dual system, they sound fantastic. This youtube clip here sounds almost identical, although mine is slightly deeper note as the 6" mufflers dampen a lot of the rasp. The bolt on magnapack kit this mustang is running has the 4" rounds.
