strange ticking coming from underneath my au xr8 people tell me it could be the manifold gasket how do i check myself can anyone help or have any ideas on what it could be, all the help would be appreciated.

get yourself a length of garden hose about 1 metre.start the car,put one end of the garden hose up to your ear.With the other end run it around your manifold,if you have a leak you will hear it as clear as day..
This is no b.s. works everytime.....
