For what that will set you back for all the efi gear, you could easily do a clevo with a 671 or twin turbo's or something like that. Now that would stand out from the crowd.

Sounds like a great project, and good on you for wanting something different. Clevo's and big blocks have all be done before.
There is a guy on Fordforums.com.au that has put a XR8 260 engine in an XY. Can be done, and I cant see it been all that much of a problem. Good luck with it all.. |

It was done by the guys at the Blue Oval Garage. The Car sounds insane too. They fired it up without the full exhaust on one day I was there.. bone shaking.

Both bellhousing and engine mount pattern are different to smallblock ford.
All modular engines(4.6,5.4,6.8) share the same patterns. Grab a Ford racing catalog for a guide to engine dimensions but, basically the modular engines are as big or bigger in width than a 460 wedge and in some cases bigger than a SOHC 427 or a Boss 429! With exception of the 6.8 V10 they are also shorter than most other engines because of their small bore spacing. Pete. |

with the RRS you will have plenty of room, at one stage RRS were thinking of producing a modular fitting kit, I dont believe this is available yet but it is definately possible. The towers can be cut back an ungodly ammount, more than the RRS notching kits do, you can get about another inch or so out of it.
