EVERYONE I'VE FOUND OUR FIRST STREET MACHINE MECHANIC.....XH5WEPN. Match it up and build the thing yourself and then maybe I might pay some attention to what you have to say.

I can also say that I've got stage 2 cam, underdrives, Afr 165's, cc'd combustion chambers, vernier timing gears, etc etc. If you don't do it yourself what kind of EXPERT ARE YOU!!!!

Anyway thats enough. I'll finish with saying that the 220 is a hot bit of gear. For a substancial power gain aftermarket inlet, ecu, heads, injectors would have to be used.

Didnt think you'd have much of a come back to my last post mate, apart from thinking up some immature s**t.

And with the BA boys not being able to take a bar of criticism, all i said to you to start all this s**t was basically you cant spell, and maybe you talk yaself into winning races. Then you come back with a real adult comment of "Blow the doors off the pile you drive any day , no talking needed, wouldn't even waste my time", now who cant take a bar of criticism.

Take ya hand of it mate and do something useful with it.

DaveXR8, first up i apologise for filling your thread full of s**t along with t2te50.

I'm not even gonna bother posting any advice in this thread with t2te50 watching over like a hawk waiting to pounce on whatever i say  .

So just have a look through my build thread in here titled "Heads & Cam", theres plenty of information in there for what your after as i basically had the same goals with the same budget (but my budget got a bit out of hand and got blown apart), the main difference you have is that have a better starting point with the 220.

But as stated above, make sure you keep about 1200 aside from the rest for the tune once you've done all the other work, this will ensure your getting the most out of your combo and will make sure your running a spot-on state of tune, i.e- good AFR's from idle through to WOT.

that sounds pretty good with just a few mods. im thinking of doing exactly the same but im not too sure about the diff. Will it effect my daily driving?
and with the 3.9 would it be a whle new iff or can the gears be fitted into the original housing?

it sits at 2400rpm at 100 kmh on the freeway so not too bad at all. and when i had it done i had the diff rebuilt as well just to be safe but you can get them t just put the 39s in if u wanna do it on the cheap, it makes a real difference and really wakes the car up.

With my EA box and a really short first gear, i reckon i would have to take off in second if i fitted 3.9's!!

Wild6- just wondering how much did the pacemaker extractors cost you if you dont mind me asking. Do you still have the standard cat converters on it or did you go for high flow cats?

DaveXR8. If you have a look on ebay, there was a guy who used to sell the Pacemaker headers for a good price. For the 5l V8's, they were just under $600 i think. He may still be on there selling them, otherwise they might be around the $800 mark installed from an exhaust place.

I'm still running the standard cats, as the guy who's tuned mine said there was no point getting new hi-flowed ones.

get some 20inch rims, big cam, hi-stall, full exhaust and you might even have $30 left for a slab of beer.
