Hi All,
My EB 5.0L is playing up. It cranks but doesn't start straight away, it may take few goes. When it does start it seems to run fine. I have replaced fuel pump & filter, Dissy cap, Rotor & Plugs. Leads seem to be O.K . Any suggestions? |

Or maybe quickly check the resistance of the leads with a multimeter before you replace a $100 set of leads.

might want to check the ISC too,
an easy way to see if there is an issue would be to hold the accelerator down a bit when you go to start is she fires straight away there may be an issue with it. |

we had a eb 5 ltr come into the workshop with the same prob
we found if you taped on the dissy after you tried starting the engine would start we fitted a second hand dissy as the guy had no more to buy new parts i surpose you could try tapping on the dissy after a no start situation and see if it works |

XR8Man,
I'll give that a go. I have noticed a pool of engine oil in a small well above the water pump housing, next to the dissy. Could this indicate that there may be a problem with the dissy? Such as worn seal and too much play in the dissy shaft. |
