cheers mate.
i went from wanting a 6 speed manual xr8 to an auto 3v ghia :p
as soon as i seen it i fell in love with it and obsessed about it for ages :p.

anyone got any ideas of some good mods to the 3v other than exhaust, cai and tune?

does the blue power air box give you the best performance.
ive noticed they dont even come with a snorkle? would adding a snorkle to a blue power box give any more benifits or isnt it needed

Nah dont need a snorkle on the BPR boxes. I'd definately go the BPR though.
Then get a decent intake pipe made from the box to the top mount T/B, my mates got a nice 3" alloy one.
Get some extractors on there,if the current twin system is decent just leave it, as long as its at least 2.5" each pipe and is mandrel bent she'd be sweet.
Get the underdive pullies then a full tune then some 3.9 diff gears with LSD and she'll definately get up and boogie.

yeah im going to try order some materials for an intake pipe at work tomorrow then once i get the car ill measure it up and make it.

so are the underdrives worth it? ive heard people say they arent worth it on the boss 260's?

when i drove the car it felt quite restricted, so i cant wait to get the stock intake and exhaust manifolds off.

Dude for the price you are paying for this fairmont you can sit back and laugh at the dumbasses who paid over 40 grand for the car you have now.
Bloody good buy-I said id never get a ba/bf but if this was offered to me forjust over ten grand i would snap it up.
Good luck with it dude.

almost every man and his dog owns an xr8. i think being different is always good. i dont think ive ever actually seen a tough, loud b series v8 ghia cruising on the road so that makes me pretty happy knowing ill have a car that will be one of kind
