cost about wat offyaguts said. a fair bit! ive got a 75mm throttle body and egr spacer. decided to put a unichip in, which was done yesterday and today to tune it.
my mate is tuning it, from competition engines in westall, said the dizzy was way to advanced i think? so he did that plus the unichip.
but mick did not include the tps for the throttle body so had to order one from ford which is a pain. bobby is putting it in tonight so should get the car 2morow.

so should i stick with the twin 2 1/4 to single 2.5'' set up? or go single 2.5'' or maybe 3''?

For that kind of flow I will be opting for a twin 2 1/2" eventually....the single 2 1/2" is a nice 'street' tone which shouldn't get you in trouble and should still flow nicely, and not too sure about the 3", i'd imagine it will be a little loud.

By the sounds of things your exhaust flow quite nicely for your setup anyway with 186rwkw so maybe even stick with it and throw the money somewhere else like underdrives or phenolic spacer to try and get a touch more out of her

Reduces intake temperatures, sits between the upper and lower manifold

There's a guy on FF selling an Edelbrock manifold with a 1/2" phenolic spacer, maybe ask him if he is willing to separate. I think the Edelbrock ones are about $140 new from memory.

Just make sure you ask what type of edelbrock manifold it is for and also check that the 1/2" will fit under the bonnet cause with the explorer/cobra/GT40 manifolds the 3/8" spacer is the one to go for otherwise there are bonnet clearance issues.

Also has the effect of lengthening intake runners which will increase low end torque at the expense of top end...

Always good to have a timeslip. Plus I think the battle between your beast and a certain forced EL XR8 would be interesting.
Did I mention it's the most fun you can legally have in your car, with your pants on and fly zipped up?

yeh i agree come to heathcote

Hey Gunnit,

Did you happen to get any manifold pressure readings at full noise?
If your MAF to be used is a Pro-M 77 you'll probably pickup 10 or so kw with your current combo.
As an example my mates 5.0 Capri makes 227kw with;
Stock bottom end.
Edelbrock 1.90 valve heads.
Cobra intake (ported lower)
65mm t-body
Ford F303 cam
1.6 rollers
custom 1 5/8" tri-y headers
High flow cats
2 1/4" twin with straight through mufflers
T5 gearbox
9" diff
X3Z Cobra EECIV
24's
70mm Cobra MAF
TwEECer.

This combo shows 1" of manifold vacuum @ full noise.
the MAF itself is 0.02v from being maxed out.
We have a 90mm Lightning MAF to fit and will try a 70mm T-body to see if that eliminates the restriction.

You'll be wanting to change those 19's out fairly soon too.

Cheers,
Pete.

Pete, the Tweecer would have a fair bit to do with the power figure as a good tune is definately worth a fair few rwkw's

T5 would give it a bit of a boost too

In the midrange yes but at the peak no. We found only a 5kw difference at the top end no matter what we changed in fuel or spark.
The manual gearbox certainly eats less power but the 9" eats more than a borgy too.

Pete.
