Thoughts on using oil flush? Page 1 of 1 [ 14 posts ] Well im sure by now you have actually done something about you sludge problem by now i only joined the forum today so just thought id let you know of 2 product i have had great success with the first is LIQUI MOLY ENGINE DETOX is is meant for engines that have exceeded service intervals and just does a great job cleaning the engine inside now the other product i have used is Cost Effective Maintenance (CEM) Flushing Oil Concentrate this stuff is just awesome th stuff i have seen come out of even a thought to be clean engine will amaze you but for a once of treatment i prefer the LIQUI MOLY ENGINE DETOX well good luck the LIQUI MOLY ENGINE DETOX can be bought at super cheap auto the Cost Effective Maintenance (CEM) Flushing Oil Concentrate must be bought online from CEM's website |

I've used oil flush on engines that had noisy lifters & after a flush & new oil they have been quiet. I'd suggest 2 or 3 oil filter changes after a flush tho, your going to dislodge lots of crap & it will end up in the filter quickly.

I have also used an oil flush on a high kilometre motor and it cleans it out great.
Pity the motor looses oil pressure and starts burning oil a coupleo of weeks later. On a new motor to use a flush all the time is the way to go. It will always keep it clean and get a better service life. On an older motor the crabon and gunge can altually be acting as a seal so you remove that and the motor dies. Personally , I only use a flush on a really low k motor or one i have had from new. Not worth the gamble otherwise.

well i have used oil flushs on high and low Klm motor i only remember one that started using oil and losing pressure but if you motor does that after a flush well generally speaking your seal were already stuffed so i guess it an option you need to way up on your own and decide if its worth the gamble i use a flush with every oil change on all my car and my family and friends no problems to date

kero would be really bad for you seals as it would dry them out where as the nulon oil flush is not solvent based its is basically just all the cleaning agent that are in oil but alot more concentrated so as to get rid of the bad stuff

I have had good success using diesel. I pour a cup full into the oil let it run for 15mins give it a couple of revs here and there then drain it all. Shuts up those noisy lifters too.
