Alright got a prob with the Nc that need your wisdom.....
1. The doors will not stay open. They want to close every time they are opened. What is it that stops them from closing?
2. Please excuse me if my termanology is incorrect but you will get the idea........ On Gas the brakes are not as good as on Petrol. Would the tune on Gas be taking manifold pressure from the brakes? She runs nice on Gas ( obviously not as hard as Petrol) getting around 500k's to a full tank on a 5L. The exhaust is a grey colour with no smell of gas on idle or while running. I rekon its the tune but do I decrease the gas mixture or increase it?
3 Its got 225000k's on her and I will be moving to the mountains soon ( cold temps). She does more hwy k's than stop goes. What do you guys think would be the best Viscosity oil to use next service? As I have only had her for about 2 months I do not know what is in it now but the plugs are a nice colour

1. It is most likely a central locking problem. Put a thread up in the interior section for a better answer. The early model central locking is known to do stupid things.
2. Sound slike it is down on manifold Vacuum on LPG and could probably use a tune and a few adjustments. Best off to have it done at an LPG place seeing as though they have all the correct gear and brains to use it.
3. I always just run good old Valvoline XLD 20W 50 in my 5.0's all year around.
Have always done so with all my V8's over 15 years (theres been plenty of them  ) and I have never had an issue , even when I lived in the Blue Mountains in the middle of some hard winters.

now you mean you open the doors and the decide to close themselves? usually when your in the way so you cop a door on the leg?

the door check straps wear out. all you can do is get a set off a car that don't do that and change them.

and being a 5L with that amount of kms on gas i'd use a good 20w50 gas oil with a genuine Motorcraft oil

Can you buy the straps new? That is the problem, every time my balls or my head or my leg cops the door. I was going to use a 20/50 but did not want to stuff the plugs with too thicker oil. Thanks guys

i dunno. may have to hit up your local Fraud dealer and find out. or just get a decent set from the local wreckers.
20w50 will be fine. won't foul plugs. the oil shouldn't be going anywhere near the plugs.

I think you'll find just about everything E-series is absolete now from Ford, especially the boxcar's. Best to head to a wreckers like pick'n'payless in Sydney so you can wander around the yard and find a few good sets. My drivers side door is flogged out as well, only really bothers me when I'm trying to clean the car, so I just angle the nose of the car downhill :P

Heavy doors right? Its no problem I just like things perfect. These little things that dont work correctly piss me off. Should pull the trim off and have a good look and see what I can come up with
