Hi fellas, I need some advice. I have an 2000 AU XR8 ute with the following mods, Engine was dyno tuned with CAPA flash tuner Keith black Hypereutectic silver light pistons.
Pedestal mounted roller rockers. New rings and bearings. Twin performance MSD COIL packs
Crane cam with new Hydraulic roller lifters. GT40 head work. Mild port & polish job.
Match ported / polished intake manifold. Phenolic 10mm spacer between intake & plenum.
New Nascar alloy water pump. Ford racing motorsport valve covers.
Ballanced & blueprinted. Rollmaster timing chain kit. New 70mm Tickford Throttle body. New jet hot coated pacemaker headers. Full stainless 3" exhaust with magna flow mufflers & high flow cats. New factory radiator header tank. New alluminium radiator. New platinum sparkplugs.
New factory fan/ accessory belt. K&N high flow air filter. SS inductions cold air induction kit.
Factor automatic BTR4-speed with fresh standard convertor.

Recently the ute has started to stall without warning. It's fine when it's cold of a morning, but once it warms up, it stalls. Once it stalls I have to leave it for about 15 minutes before it will start again. But once it heats up again it stalls. I have tried changing the crank angle sensor but that didn't change anything. :?

Does anyone have any Ideas????

Thanks

Gary

Go back to basics.... fuel and spark.... Unlikely to be timing IMO, as I can't see it suddenly going out due to heat on a E-ign engine.

I'd be looking for fuel pressure, inj pulse and spark. If the car has all these things, it should run, so I'm guessing it doesn't when it gets hot.

First port of call would be coils for me. They may be overheating.
