Hey guys.
I need a new battery for my elxr8, can anyone recommend any good brands? Im after something pretty heavy duty as the car has underdrives & sits in traffic, etc.. I had a ' Heavy DutyLion' battery in there - only lasted 12 months.. cheers guys. |

As above.
Try and go to a Battery shop, and they should have some decent ones for your car. I've only got a Century i think, and its lasting pretty well, for a $100 battery. |

At the tyre shop I work at we sell a lot of super charge batteries and they seem very reliable

hi, see a auto electrican and have the charging system checked, and ask what size battery you need-normally 480 amps per hour or greater, depends on all options in the car,and the size of the beat box. fords are hard on batteries -buy the best you can,if automatic - more so,keep jumper leads in boot.

ALCO Maintenance free, advertise 560 crankin amps and actually hold 680, 2yr warranty and there a wholesale company so there inexpensive. thru one in my ute and had no problems.
As for those odysee batteries, IMO they are over rated. Follow the sites that use deep cycle such as caravan, boating and solar users and they all use the fullriver range theyre inexpensive in comparison but if maintained and charged correctly have a long life . IMO they dont create the cranking amps we want for our engines andt are measured in amp hours so for stereos and computers etc the deep cycles are fantastic. |

Caterpillar all the way! and you get to put in the acid! then you know its new
but I have a ACDelco Maintenace Free, its strong and reliable! Stay away from Masse (cheap range)
