Anything from the V8 series of AU Falcons, Fairmont Ghia, XR8 etc, best is to buy a written off car with a good motor and box and swap it all over yourself.

Which is just a Coyote with a blower on it. The new Boss 302 engine is the same Coyote engine with higher comp and different intake etc for 440hp instead of 412hp.
You could put one in an AU but it would require some work.
As Gab1 says get a written off V8 AU as a donor. You could also use many of the parts from the AU 5.0 on a 351w but this would also require some extra work like custom headers and possibly a hole in the bonnet depending on the intake chosen.

Assuming you haven't invested too much into your existing AU, you're probably better off going to find a nice V8 and trade up. Maybe take the chance to go up to a Fairmont or XR8 too.

They all depreciate at about the same rate and today surely the price of a used 4L vs 5L is far less than the cost of the conversion.

If you want to do a conversion for the fun of it, then forget about what is or isn't easy and do something different; coyote is the way to go for sure!

Haha. I'm not doing a conversion for fun or to prove I can convert stuff (lets face it, im not doing anything). I'm doing a conversion to go fast without screwing around, hence sticking with 8.2" deck windsor

So for the OP - if you want to go fast without unnecessary costs - turbo your 4L! The Ford 4L responds great to boost. The $/KW cost of getting big power out of the 4L works out much better than the windsor (if you live in Australia).

That too :) 180RWKW from 4L N/A at 7000rpm, blah. My 363 w/ 15PSI will make more than 180KW at idle :P
