Well...the stock 5.0 finally gave up the ghost...im surprised it held up as long as it did. Im looking to build a combo for my t-70 turbo to comfortably handle 15psi. Im not fussed about if i go 302/351/460/Boss/Stroker etc...i just want a combo that will handle the boost Budget is around 10k. Am i dreaming?

15 PSI will require a dart block. And that will take a third of your 10k budget. I hope you get it running and goodluck

Hmm...any price difference between building say, a 347 dart based engine, or a 408?

If you turn the spanners, and have the turbo etc already then it could be done. Are you after only a fresh bottom end, or a complete package. 347 and 408 comes down to the block, ie 302 for 347 and 351 for 408. 10k could get you a very reliable very stong Dart 347, and if you have everything else then it should be easy

Yeah turbo setup has been in car for 6mths and has handled reasonable abuse so far...im kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did with 15psi...ive got a stock engine atm, so im thinking i just need to build a bottom end, maybe some ported heads and a decent intake?

could you get away with a injected 351? out of a f-truck iirc they dont suffer from the 600hp split.

^^ as was said, a 351w block isn't as weak as our 302 blocks. If you turn the spanners yourself I don't think it would be too hard to keep the build under 10g.
You will want some aftermarket heads as the 351 comes with e7's (i know, what were they thinking). AFR185's would be good but they are a bit of a killer with exchange rates atm. I'm fairly sure you can use 302 length rods and get pistons to suit your compression, then all you need is a stroker crank and you get a stroker on the cheap too.
