Upto you mate, new is always good but not crucial for an 8.
If it were a 6 then it's a must to fit new.

The 8's don't have the faults that the 6 bolts did.
To be honest the only engine i have ever fitted new bolts to are the 3.9 and 4.0 sixes... but once you update to the AU bolts you're pretty well right.
I lost count of the times i have lifted an I6 rocker cover off and found the head of a bolt floating around the top of the head.

I have forgotten how many heads and engines i have done on many different makes and never had a problem, but Just check for any corroded bolts that run in water jackets, if they're eaten away then replace them.

I just want to add, the most important thing is "Clean" the bolts and threads, wirebrush the threads up so you can eat off them.
Also if i haven't got a tap to clean the block threads, i grab an old bolt and grind a couple of slots down the thread with the grinder, run it up and down the threads with a bit of oil on it then blow it out with the compressor.

You CANT re-use oem head bolts on a Windsor. They are torque to yield bolts, and they cannot be torqued correctly again after they have been used.

Get some ARP head bolts, follow the instructions for torquing them down properly (no you dont just put them in and torque them to XX). ARP head bolts can be re-used.

You'd be mad to re-use TTY bolts...but whatever.

ARP head bolts are about $60-70 from VPW last time I checked.
