Do you use the same ones or a different make/part number?
If you stick to the same ones it shouldn't do that. |

Gap them to 1.1mm every time. Disturbing the leads can make them run rough. They eat leads. Get rid of the engine cover and the rubber boot over the dizzy as well.No good for hot days. If you use the Motorcraft plugs they should be gapped right but experience has shown me to religously gap plugs.

The gas installer suggested that the gas runs btter with them and also they last longer so less often cutting my hands to pieces getting them in and out. {USERNAME} wrote: Gap them to 1.1mm every time. Being Bosch Iridiums they have 4 elctrodes so they are almost impossible to gap, as far as i could see. I hope they were set right at the factory.

Nah the iridiums with those 4 electrode setups are no good for Fords. Get a set of proper Motorcraft plugs and gap em to 0.9 mm for LPG. NGK are wicked too.

Carefully close the gap .. They generally are gapped too much..
Or get yourself a Crane High 6 ignition system and run $3.00 plugs.. http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/hpiab2/category34_1.htm

+1 correct. i put some ngk standard plugs back in today and took the iridums back for a refund. It runs better already. looks like it is back to scarring myself every 10,000k's. conclusion - Bosch ir platimun ($22.00 ea) FTL

I have ngk iridiums in my 5.0 and it runs great, but i have stock ngk plugs in my 4.0 and that runs real good too.
Stock ngk plugs will work just as good as the iridiums but they dont last as long. I used to run a 1.1 mm gap

My windsor definitely disliked them. I tried to get some ngk iridiums from repco, but they only had 5 in the state. Maybe next time.

From my experience in the motor industry Bosch plugs are very average. I use only NGK or Denso.
