Well most FM members dont know this but my EB Fairmont Ghia 5.0L has been financally written off :( .
So after serching for 5 weeks & looking at some fords that were so crap their Owners should be shot & dealing with the sharks(dealers) out there I finally found a car that is in good nic & has been well looked after.
NC series 2 FAIRLANE GHIA 5.0L.
The radiator support is gone in the EB.
Look at this post for the damage to the EB

Whats with everyone buying these big ugly boats? IMO the ugliest Eseries (I know its technically N-series) of them all.

Well I was hunting a DC LTD, Lane or EF upwards but as mentioned previousley all of the EF's upward were crap.
I saw this EF Fairmont Ghia they wanted $3500, when I saw it I said straight out no as the wood grain was rough, leather was all craked & body condition was poor.
Next a EL XR6, interior was poor seats torn & front bar damage.
I could keep going on about the cars out in the market but I'm happy with the Lane.

I think the NA-NC Fairlanes are the best looking Fairlanes ever. Especially when they are scrapin on the ground and loaded with 351 plus cubes!
Good score there ben_daui!
A Mate of mine picked up a mint tickford 5.0 NC in Cobalt. We're going to EFI 460 it 8-)
Hey and with such a long nose there's plenty of room out front of the engine for turbo's.

For a start it won't have half the problems EF/ELs have, next it is a V8 so it will be rare to see the heads off, next it isn't a dime a dozen Falcon and best of all most non Fordophiles do not know it shares most parts with a Falcon, unlike NF/NL or BA-BF(worse) where I know some non Ford people thought they were Falcons from the front, and Ford wonder why Fairlane sales are down?

Guessing it isn't a late NCII "Ben_Daui" as the body moulds are colour coded like LTD's, that would be one of the early things I would get done.

Nice buy :D

Nice fairlane ben. Get some wet&dry, prepsol, a can of plastic primer, primer, cardinal red and clear topcoat and slap it on those bump strips. What sort of interior does it have? Velour or leather?
