Got a stock ef fairmont ghia v8, really happy with the way it drives, but if anyone has some great mods I can do straight off to give me some more grunt it would really be appreciated, just a few more ponies, gotta stand out from the granddads and do ford justice.

Join the WA cruise group, meet a few people and they can put you onto the good dealers.
Total cost should be under $1500 if you know some good people over there. Pacemakers/Genies, and a better flowing exhaust K&N airfilter, and an AU XR8 snorkel.

the easy way to keep up with a VT-VY Gen 3 for under $6000
pacemaker headers and dual 2.25 exhaust - $1400-$1700 heat gun bent AU-XR8 snorkel - $35 from ferntree gully chiptorque chip - $700 (not really needed till later) 3.73 or 3.9 diff ratio - $1100 - $1700 If you really haven't that much to spare then get the diff and snorkel done. The diff ratio change is cheating but the car will feel more alive, and you can keep up with stock VX Gen IIIs etc If you don't mash the pedal every two seconds and just cruise, the car will actually have better fuel economy. mine dropped by .5 of a litre and thats with alot more quicker takeoffs at the lights....

Extractors and free flowing exhaust is your first stop... Just open the bonnet and have a look at the shape of your headers as they leave the heads and you'll kmow why!!
