CH3111... Can't get a copy of the picture though but it does look like the bypass bit is on the side... It's on page 89 of this link http://mackayrubber.com.au/all-catalogues.htm thanks to Sturmovik!

of coures its worth it. shouldnt be hard to make it fit, just depends on the diameter of the hose/radiator pipe

I visited my local dealer this arvo as they had both types of hoses in.. that is one that fits a NL V8 and a NU V8... and the conclusion is they are both different is the sense of fitting direction... It's a pity as the NU hose is only $38... I think I'll wait a bit to replace the top hose... It's not buggared... But from Supercheap Auto I have on order the two bottom hoses for $30 all up plus a new rotor cap and dizzy button for $25 all upp... not bad as Repco quoted me $33 for the rotor cap alone..!!

Uuummm probably a silly q.... Should I be putting in a special type of coolant in? The book only says 5litres of coolant plus 10litres of water... Doesn't say what kind of coolant...

Did you try it? - All I see is that it may not clear the engine cover, and it isnt supported by the earlier hose support..... all workable.

Cause you'll need more than one over time.

Nah I didn't hey... But Supercheap Auto quoted me $60 for the actual hose for the NL... Best price compared to Ford and Repco...
