Got my G-tech yesterday.

Haven't done a power run yet, but I managed an average time of 7.9 0-60mph and averaged a 15.9 at 90mph (144 k/hr) pass.

OMG EB V8's are slow (not that I expected any different). And that is a manual.

Wheels in 1992 managed to get a EB XR8 Sports Pack 3 down the 1/4 in 16 flat at 141k's and did a 0-100 in 8.4 seconds, so I think my car is about at stock as it could be. (K&N not withstanding)!

Since owning it I have not flogged the car at all, but in the interests to science I caned the ring out of it yesterday. Dilemma? Clutch or tyres. Which one to punish? I think some shorter gearing would make the old girl a fair bit quicker without the torture on the drive train!

I tell you what though for $50. Gtechs on ebay are GOLD!!!!!

You'll find the right launch method with a bit of experimentation and your time will drop.

Gtechs are as only good as teh info u put into them
ie if you missjudge the wieght by 50kg the gtech will read wrong,
ie you get teh car wieghed and all and put info in 9 car has 1/4 tank fuel)
then u fill up car and do gtech run... it will be out

they are a good guide only and u need to keep thins as constant as possible..

there is only 2 good measures the Drag stip! and a dyno
:)

The G Tech doesnt hook up to the speedo at all, it measures based on G Forces.

Still not sure how accurate they are, as my figures seem a bit odd (at oran park when we did 1/4's, I had the highest mile per hour, but the slowest times.. the MPH was pretty close to what I last ran at WSID, but the time was 2 seconds off)

But they are fun!!!
