Is there a standard size for rings in the 302 efi windsor,or do the origional ones differ.Reason for asking is that im going to do up my motor and wanted to get the rings now so im not waiting for parts while doing the re-build.Im only honing the bores and using stock pistons.

You can buy the rings to suit 4.000", 4.010", 4.020", 4.030" etc, etc.
So determine how far you're going to take the bore out, and buy rings based on that decision.

If your pistons are std size then thats what you want...If you are concrned about alittle wear in bore then get file back rings so end gap can be exactlty what you want..

for the low cost for a re-bore & hyperutectic pistons I would replace the lot, If you have any more than .003" wear in the sleeves you will lose compression, have piston slap, wear out the new rings a lot quicker & only be compramising an engine.
Thats only if you're bores are worn or out of round, Honing should never be used to remove lips, only glased surfaces & minor scratches. when a block is bored to suit oversize components, it should be machined to suit to pistons ,not just general specs. I hope this doesn't sound too extreme, but from personal experience it works out cheaper in the long run. cheers ;kenny

hi before purchasing any parts , my suggestion is strip the motor first and make all the necessery measuremnets to determine wot course of action ( repairs ) u will be doing to recterfy ur problem cheers
