Good evening,

I am wondering what ford V8 post EF/EL will bolt fairly easily into an existing EF XR8

I know AU 8's are a good option but can you fit a Barra in?

Also looking at doing a swap of all the running gear also. Will I run into many issues using an AU or a BA doner for diffs drive train and boxes etc.

Thanks

The barra v8 is a very big beast, *IF* it fits, it will be very tight. Not worth the hassle. Spend the cash you would buying a barra to "upgrade" your existing 5.0 windsor.

In regards to drive train, you can't easily fit the IRS from a AU or BA into the earlier cars. It can be fit, it will require engineering, but not easily done. Auto gearboxes can be used, but there are a few little changes along the way that make life harder.

Cheers

Any modular v8 will fit. Get a coyote crate engine from Ford racing.
