ATM ive got a List of Parts to go onto my EF XR8 Auto

Ported GT40P's YT Roller Rockers
Ported Edelbrock Performer Inlet + Plenum
70MM TB ( contemplating porting plenum and getting larger TB)
75MM MAF
Underdrives
AU220KW Cam - 621339 Crow
BPT PowerPipe
Tweecer ( Well Tuning )

just wondering on what sort of estimated power output from this combo
and to whether im going to need to put in a larger camshaft or not

Other Cams Mayby
Crane 2030
Crow 62757
Crow 621371

was hoping for 250rwhp before im ready to used forced
if anyone knows any cams that arent $500+ and could be used with factory retainers /valve springs ( au220 heads) that will net that or better please post

I'd imagine between 160-180rwkw's, I wouldn't go with the au cam, if your going to the trouble of taking the cam out i'd put something larger (aggressive) in there, but you would need upgraded springs, retainers etc.

220kw cam is pretty good actually, just be sure to dial it in about 4-6 deg adv...you will be surprised

Just make sure your EF ECU has support for the Tweecer.

I enquired with BPT a few months ago and my ecu (was 4DEG) had no support with the tweecer. Had to either consider aftermarket or get hold of a XH, XG or EL series 2 ecu to be able to use the tweecer.

Another option was also the Capa flash eliminator but I dont think its been out long enough to be a worth while option.

Other than that it seems like 250 RWHP is a reasonable figure.

the heads are gone got rid of them today got ported gt40p's with stainless larger valved stainless springs retainers aparently good for 550+" cam

reason im putting au220kw cam is for the vortec V2 i have sitting next to my parts :D aparently its very suitable for blower applications i cant see the sense in an extra $1100 for extra power now , where as when i put on the vortec i will need 42lb injectors and itll be wasting $400 woud much rather put that into someting like a smick paint job ( father runs panelshop i pay only for materials )

i pulled engine down today to find i got ibeam rods and unsusual looking pistons going to entire if they re forged and i indeed have a forged crank new rings bering and runnign 12-14 psi rather than 10psi would need tool steel stud gidle as that would push the engine power to above 400rwhp

now the only problem is i HATE the edelbrock performer RPM inlet manufold i woudl much rather a Factory ported manifold so port inlet throad to 75mm and runners porte and matched to ported edelbrock inlet manifold will loose some HP but wil create sleeperish effect since my car on full throttle sounds hardcore but on idle sounds stock muahahah

The Explorer intake will support that power level, with a 65mm TB even. Go the sleeper effect!!!!

i have square runners on edelbrock manifold ( lower ) thing is will me sellign edelbrock upper for lets say $250 and then ported out the factory manifold etc to 70/75mm and ported the runners ot match the lower manifold would flow better or would me port mathcing the edelbrock upper and deep port the inlet from the TB ( it tapers smaller to 65mm

was thinking fo the sleeper effect lets everyone think its stock with just a blower but i still blew you with your gt40ps and same blower type s**t

the 200kw cam is bigger than the 220 cam, as it was made for the 1.6 ratio roller rockers.
If you can find one, it might be a good idea.
