hey guys

got a 96 ef 2 fairmont 5.0l which is stock and at the moment crippled from the abuse that it has endured at my hand, or should i say right foot.

at the moment i have the engine and tranny out. tranny is at the shop, just waiting for the verdict from the doc on wether its repair or replace so i really at the moment am looking for a direction to head with the engine.

Heads, cam, manifold, injectors, rockers , ecu and stroker are what im after but really need suggestion and experience to guide me in a direction that is bang for buck.

-the stroker kit from BPT looks good
-afr 185 heads look good
-au injectors look good
-tweecer looks good
-cam, rockers and inlet, i have no idea?
to many choices, not enough knowledge
if anyone has experience, or just plain good advice much appreciated

Just check that the Tweecer has compatibility with your computer's catch code. My EF XR8 was not compatible, but some are so check it out before purchasing. Other options are the Capa Eliminator chip or a Aftermarket ECU. Or a EL series 2 ECU can be ordered new and still be used with the tweecer.

AU injectors are 24lb units and should suffice.

An AU explorer inlet mainfold will do as well but stepping up to a Trickflow, Performer or Victor Jnr would help with those cubes.

Heads, cams and rockers would depend on you want out of the engine.

Probably a 80mm Maf and 75mm throttle body on top would also help.

Now N/A (permanent Lag) - AFR 165's, Comp XE270 cam, 1.6 RR - 269 rwhp 14.1 @ 102mph.
