youll need a socket set, a phillips head screw driver, and maybe a flathead..

remove the airbox clips

loosten the hoseclamp on the tube connected to the MAF - flathead screwy

Unscrew the MAF sensor unit from the MAF - phillips screwy

CAREFULLY TAKE IT OUT, DONT DAMAGE THE WIRES, and rest it safely not on a hot engine..!!

Take off your airbox lid, and unbolt the MAF using your socket.

should be all .. correct me if im worng any1.

If you want to remove the electronics from the MAF body you'll need security Torx bits. Can be bought at most auto tool stores

Yeah pretty simple. To remove the housing from the intake plumbing just unbolt it from the airbox lid and the inlet pipe.

To remove the electronics from the housing its, as mentioned by darin, a security torx (i.e. with the lug in the middle of the star pattern) bit. I forget the size of the torx bit sorry.

have a look first, my torx screws i just did with a phillips head, they looked to be burrowed out by previous owner or a mechanic or something.

i used clean-a-carb .. a very light squirt on the wires, and if the gunk remains on the wires, carefully use a cotton bud to work it off. worked ok for me..
