Hi guys I'm a first time poster I know but I've been reading this forum for about 12 months now.
To give you guys some history I have put a NC fairlane v8 into my gq patrol, using one of TI performances chips to turn the auto off in the factory computer.
I'm having a problem with a miss at all rev ranges, have been through and changed leads, plugs are bit over 12months old and have a nice light brown colour to them, have just changed rotor and cap again, just changed coil, have already changed TFI module in the last 12 months aswell, I know it cant be injector of fuel pressure related as it runs Vapour injected gas as well with the gas computer piggy backing off the factory computer.
My question is there anyway I can check the PIP module? or log it to see if it has a problem?
Can also see the tacho jumping around when this miss is happening.
Cheers Wade

G'day Wade,
Was the TFI module you used a new one?
Does it also run Petrol and it does it do the same on petrol?
Are you able to disconnect the piggy back computer from the EEC while testing on Petrol?
Have you changed the plug gap for LPG?
You need a CRO to observe the PIP properly but look at this first;

Hi thanks for the reply mate,
The TFI module I used was brand new unit,
I can't disconnect the gas computer with out having to re-wire all the injectors, but that's the only part that the gas computer piggy backs onto,
Yes it does it exactly the same on gas and petrol, probably touch worse on petrol than gas.
Plug gap was set as per the workshop manual I brought for the motor think 1.4mm.
I'm determined to sort this out so any other questions fire away,
Thanks for the link aswell I will test the tfi in the morning if it stops raining for me.
Cheers Wade
