For a few hundred more u get CNC ported AFR heads if ur looking at the 160cc & 180cc heads and definatly good value when going 200cc and 215cc head if compared to AFR range but not CNC.
They seem to have a good rap when u google them

but i've found a pair of brand new second hand ones... going pretty cheap!
I think they would be well suited for a 351? I might give them a whirl...

180cc and still working out a price we both agree on. I'm going to talk to afew engine builders and see if they have ever used RHS heads

If there a good price then go for it unless ur building a wicked 351???
Whats ur 351 combo gona be??? I believe Pavtek use these heads but they still call them Topline and according to them there pretty good with little porting.

Top Line where a New Zealand based company yes? Now known as RHS? After going into receivership.
I'm still working on a good combo! I do need some help with it. The bottom end will be bored .030" oversize with Probe forged -22cc dished piston tops, standards rods shot peened with ARP bolts.... engine will be boosted. i want to use a Crane 2031 cam, i've got a edelbrock 351w lower, which will be mated to a RPM upper. either gt40X ally heads of i might go all out and buy the AFR's or even the RHS if we end up settling on a good price we both agree on. It is supposed to be a budget build, and i want to keep it that way, hence why i would like some second-hand ally heads. I should really post up a thread in the garage section and get some help and ideas with the combo.

The 2031 is a bit of a mild cam for what you have listed above. Maybe go for a cam that's more aggressive?

2031cam with blower will make plenty of power.. Will be very streetable..
The lift will give all the power you want due to blower that little bit extra... The RHS heads are owned by Comp cams now.. These heads are used alot on speedway...Will [should] be $1000 cheaper than AFR heads...

now the question is what head do i go with? i can pick up a pair of gt40x heads with low kms for $1200, and yet to confirm price on RHS heads. I don't have the funds for AFR of TFS heads, so basically its a choice between gt40p's, gt40x's and possibly RHS.
Atm i'm leaning towards the gt40x's, as they are a tried and tested head with good feedback, while i've read of some issues in regards to fitting the RHS heads, coolant galleries don't align and some issues with head bolt holes...

Is this a N/A or boosted engine???
get the costs of shot penning and ARP rod bolts for ur rods as in most casess a few hundred more u got urself a set of H beams with ARP 2000 rods bolts. The GT40x head is a 178cc and the AFR 165cc outflows them unless u spend a little money on the GT40x heads and get them ported.

Yes engine will be boosted! There are a bzillion idea's going through my head atm, as to what combo i should settle on.
I will post up a build thread in the garage section, so input can be made there!

If its boosted then dont worry about heads and get ur hands on stock heads that are unleaded ready and save urself money or put the money towards the bottem end as its a budget build.
Honestly just build urself a nice bottem end and heads can be upgraded at anytime and dont forget u will easily achieve 500rwhp with some decent boost with stock heads and good bottem end.
