This isn't a major problem, but when the Sprint is nice and warm, and, let's say you pull up at an intersection, the cam starts to lump in really bad. It's not that bad a problem if you can let it settle for a bit, but when you're at an intersection or something and have to GO, it can get embarassing. You have to choose between big rev(the preferred option), or bunny hopping away. I'd understand if it was a high-lift monster, but the sprint still had a standard XR8 cam right? Nothing special?
It's due for it's 100,000 click service soon, so we'll see what that turns up, but any ideas on what to look out for?

I would say leads and plugs etc first..Maybe idling alittle low, but raising that brings in other issues with tune...Could be runing alittle rich ?? So could be either air temp censer or coolant temp senser playing up..Also check that maf is clean and NO leaks between maf and motor...I'd say they'd pick it up on next sercice...Cams in Sprints are not that lumpy...
Here's the Cobra Mustang specs which this motor is bassed on.. 5.0L Cobra F3ZE-6250-CA Hydraulic Roller .Lift 479 .479 advertised valve timing 270 270/ @ 50* 209 209 Lobe centre 118

Yeah didn't think they were.
I'll take the airbox off tonight and have a look in the MAF. Come to think of it, I dunno what airfilter it's even got in it. Could be oiled one... Thanks for that!
