What do you think would be the effect of fitting solid rollers onto a roller hydraulic cam. Do they have different initial ramp up/down rates

Doing this with flat tappet types has resulted in increased lifter & lobe wear.

Are there any sideeffects with rollers :?:

I don't see why not but remember since you will be using solid lifters you have to keep the lash adjusted correctly

I believe that hydraulic roller cams will wear the least.

The most important difference is the material the camshaft core is made from.

Most hydraulic roller cams are not strong enough to survive the abuse from solid roller lifters. The cam will break and you will destroy your engine.

Contact the cam grinder to check if you are not sure.

dont think that it is possible to put solid rollers into a engine that has a hydralic from factory, think that the lifter bores are diffrent sizes, not to mention that the oil holes will be completely diffrent and you will probberly distroy your cam not to mention the top end of the valve train.

My advise dont waist your time or money, if ya considerin the solid lifters might as well get the solid cam to suit, not only will they give ya better engine performance, but i my opinion a serious engine wif a solid sounds s**t hot.....

Skatman347 has completely lost me.
Why would you want to run a hydraulic profile camshaft with solid lifters?
Solid cams run steeper opening and closing ramps.
If you want to run solid lifters, then buy a solid cam.
