Are these any good. It looks as though stock cat collectors have been used also the part where they bolts onto the head's.

It also looks like a good fittting would be enabled due to the stock look (direction) of headers.

Would there be any advantage on these over stock pressed headers on the windsor e series?

thats what I thought but look closer-I dont believe they are the original ones - only the ends and the collector part.

Note the welds, and no real press bends like the factory ones.

they might actually be an ok set of extractors. I've never seen it done like that before, someone has gone to a bit of effort

I have a pair of those crap things sitting in the back of the ute waiting for me to make the scrap metal run.

I bet you dont.....these are home made "bitsa" extractors, i contacted the seller - they are only stock on the flanges which have been cut off- and the collector join.

See all the extra welds?? Kept same runner design though interestingly.

Those are definately custom and are alot better than the factory ones, not sure why you'd do it though? Might be ok for use with a turbo conversion? Flip them over and change sides.

In no way do these resemble turbo exhaust manifolds for a V8 not in the slightest.- whether it be single turbo or twin turbo applications .

Even so they are still piddly little things and the stock collector is too small. They would be better than stock but not much.
The main advantage of proper headers is the long primary length which, they don't have.
I suppose you could buy them and chop off the stock collector and extend the pipes all the way down to the cats?

I think sturmovik meant that they would be useable as turbo manifolds because they could possibly be reversed much like a cast iron header in a turbo application.
