i've been pricing up new harmonic ballancers for my car (el manual v8) i've been quoted both street and race types in "power bond brand".
What dose every one recomend ?? and is $230 cheap for a street and $270 for a race?? |

Street will most likely have a rubber dampener. Race will have no dampener. It'll most likely be all steel and good for lots of rpm.
In most applications the street dampener is fine unless you've got a 7000+ rpm screamer.

Yeah go for the street version unless you plan to rev it to 7000rpm+. Check out www.vpw.com.au they have the street versions for $160.
