Well I'm going to wreck the NC Fairlane which has a screwed auto box. My question is if I change the engine from the smart lock NC into my EB which does not have smart lock, will I need to pull the smart lock BOM out of the NC & wire it into the EB, or will the engine from the NC just wire straight into the EB without the smart lock BOM?

Which ECU are you going to use? Are they both V8s?
If it is just an engine swap, then it should all be fine. If you want to use the smartlock ECU in a non smartlock car, you will need to do one of the following. Move ALL of the dash wiring including the steering column to the EB. Buy a smartlock bypass module. Buy a J3 chip with smartlock disabled. - Best Option Cheers BenJ

Yes they are both V8's, EB March 92, NC DEC 92.
So I can just get away with swapping engines while still using the EB ECU?

Yep. Then it is just a hardware swap.
