Please correct me if needed grant but i believe the two ratings (19# and 24#) denote the flow of the injector at the same fuel pressure.

ie. stock fuel pressure would be ideal.

The only time to increase fuel pressure is if you are trying to push the injectors harder, but that causes problems with the EEC too because it is just like changing injectors without changing the MAF (although normally on a smaller scale). As Martin said, when we talk about 19lb, 24lb etc we generally mean at stock fuel pressure.

You can however use an adjuastable reg to push the stock injectors up to 24lb and save some money, although it is not the ideal solution because it is pushing htose injectors too hard IMO. 19lb injectors running at 60psi = 24lb flow.

Another option is to use 4cyl magna blue injectors (also used on the HSV engines) which are rated at 24lb at a fuel pressure of 48psi (from memory), which is what they were designed to run anyway. The magna injectors can be picked up cheap at any local wrecker, and along with an adjustable reg may be a slightly cheaper solution. I still prefer using the ford motorsport injectors but if you are on a budget then these are some other solutions. You will still need a 24lb calibrated MAF though.

what do u guys reckon of the 1st kit - 75mm MAF black & 24lbs/hr injectors. Be around $800 AUS yes? can i get any cheaper anywhere else?

Yeah thats a decent setup, should cost around $800 by the time it gets here I would imagine.

You could also look at a setup like this which would cost around $320US:

The Vortech/C&L use your stock electronics and change the signal with interchangable sample tubes which works out cheaper. Not sure if the MAF comes with a sample tube of your choice to start with (I thought they did), but if not you will have to grab one of those too:

From what I understood, 24lb injectors will only run at 21lb at stock fuel pressure which is 36 psi, therefore you need the adjustable fuel pressure regulator to bump it up to 48 psi, then you will be running the 24lbers @ 24lb.

gunit look around the forums and corral. After deciding on 24lb injectors, I managed to pick cleaned Motorsport blue tops for $160, a Pro-M maf calibrated to 24lb injectors from the corral website for $160AUS and a 65mm throttle body for about $200. It can definately be done on the cheap if you look around.

Thats only for the Magna blue top Injectors, the Ford Motorsport 24lb injectors are tested at 39psi which is what the stock reg should produce (no vac).

No if you have Ford Motorsport injectors and matching MAF you won't need an adjustable reg. IMO, adjustable regs are really only usefull to significantly increase fuel pressure therefore turning say the 21lb Magna injectors or stock 19lb injectors into 24's to match the MAF. Small changes in fuel pressure are normally negated by the EEC's learning proceredures, so therefore have no effect.

Then select it for 24lbs injectors. But which model do i select - LX/GT or cobra? Which year - 89-93 Mustang or 94-95 Mustang?
It doesnt matter what size throttle body i have? It also says it comes with a TrueFlow pipe...wtf?

Yep the one vic posted is a good option but does not have a flange so you will have to modify the airbox setup or run a pod and custom shielding. The one from summit comes with the flange to bolt straight onto the airbox so that saves you a bit of stuffing around, but otherwise they are the same basic MAF. And you want the 89-93 LX/GT ones.
