Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can help with this.

I recently swapped my 24lb injectors out for a set of AU 24lb injectors. When i first started the car up it idled pretty averagely. Now every time i start it up it will splutter and couch and then die, unless i give it some pedal which it will respond to after a small delay and roar. The idle is very rough and sounds like i have a huge cam in it. When I'm out driving, it feels like it's lacking a bit of power too.

Before i swapped the injectors i fitted them with new filters, caps orings etc.

I'm still suspicious about this ECU, i got the ECU from a guy on Fordmods who sold me my completely f**k gearbox, and the ECU's J3 port was open and looked a bit dusty etc. Car has never really ran perfect since the manual conversion. TPS and base idle is adjusted correctly, timing is fine, it just won't idle very well and feels a bit sluggish.

I'm going to get the codes read, but thought i would try my luck here first. I'll get a small vid recording too if it helps.

I don't know a lot so probably not right...... but I wonder if something is wrong with the new AU injectors? Maybe something to do with the spray pattern of the injectors?

No i didn't get them flow checked. They came out of a low k AUIII so i gathered they would be OK. I gave them new filter baskets, pintle caps, o-rings etc.

If i leave it overnight and start it in the morning it really chokes and coughs for a bit, almost like an injector is leaking into a cylinder.

I think i'll just put the old 24lb'ers back in. Although even with the old ones the idle wasn't smooth as it could be. Maybe a J3 chip will sort it.

Was fine before the injector swap, it sits about 750-850rpm, it's only idling that low in the video because it's lumpy as hell. It's got me stumped.
