Any benefit in swapping standard windsor injected V8 thermostat for a cooler thermostat. Does the car perform better or is that just an old folktale?

I dont see performance being increased... lower coolant temps will prompt richer fuel calcs from EEC... you want more power, you need to lean these mofos.

Ive heard more reasons to not change to a lower thermostat than i have to do so....

fuel mixtures aside,
generally low engine temp will produce more power but result in an increase in engine wear.

NOT TRUE low intake air temp will produce more power as it produces a denser charge. and yes it will cause more wear. :D :D
