The 220kw engine has 1.72 rockers in it so that limits the cam choice a little (although you can still fit a 1.6 specific cam too), but the Crane 2031 has proven itself to be an excellent performer in the AU V8's, and it is designed for the 1.7 rockers.

Agree, I've used a 2031 in two cars now and am a big fan - a nice cam willing to play when you want to. Have a look at Comp Cams as well (XE264HR or XE270HR).

It doesn't technically limit your choice, but performance cams are specifically designed to produce their best results as specified. However, adding 1.7's on a performance cam designed for 1.6's in most cases won't really change much at all.

Probably not but IMO you have to pay more attention to valve timing events, in particular overlap, rather than lift.
