can anyone help me with some info on timing for a el xr8, it is duel fuel and seems to miss on petrol and gas, i have replaced leads,plugs, leads,cap and rotor, so im thinking maybe timing,pings under load when excelerating,can the dizzi be advanced or retarded on this model or does the computer control the timing ??????

EEC controls the timing but the base timing is set by distributor position.
Do a search about setting the base timing. You need to get it into self test mode which will lock out the EEC control for a minute or two to allow you set the base timing which is 30 degrees as std.
