Hi guys im looking at buying a TL50 and wanted to find out a few things:
1: are there any major problems to look at with the Handbuilt motor at or around 100k km's?
2:are there any major rust issues with the AU Fairlane shape?
3:Do any problems arise with the steering wheel adaptive shift?
4:what sort of price would i be looking at considering the paint is very rough (painted plastics are pealing lots of scuffs and surface scratches etc...) has all history and is one owner.

Cheers JD

what series is it? if its T1 id say 10g or maybe less if the paints as bad as u say it is, if its a T3 id pay maybe 18-19? not too sure. T3s are as rare as rocking horse s**t!

Series 1 the paint is only really badly noticable up close, but that may really be due to needing a wash really badly (its been sitting for quite sometime in the guys garage)

Nope, Build #3 the brakes on this one though gives me the indication it has done some hard braking in its life, but runs smoothly and drives just as smooth.

I dont think you would find many AU's out there that the brakes are good on! unless their the premuim option or the owner spent some coin on a decent set of disc's. They tend to rust around the top of the boot under the rear window, but is a reasonable job to fix if you get it early. I havent heard to many bad things about the hand built engines and my 220 is still going strong at 118 000k's.
what sort of coin is the bloke asking for it? does it have regular log book services?

I started it after it had apparently been sitting for days (it hadn't moved in the three weeks i drove past it continuously) and she started beautifully and sounded great only noise was one of the belts.
