Had a mate put a peter jackson (i think) gear drive on his 308. Unfortunately it was hitting the block, and was extremely loud. That sound IS nice if its not too loud, but i reckon it would get to you after a while? Better off with a supercharger whine for sure

Stick with a good double row chain.
I've only ever known guys to use them for the noisy wank factor, even in big HP applications, stick with a chain. |

if you are a wanker and want every one to look at you go the gear drives if you want to be normal and and not a wanker go the double row chain

Thanks for feed back. dont have to worry about being looked at though the car is pretty angry looking anyway.
Decided to go the aussie muscle Belt drive Looks sweeet and can adjust the cam timing externally.

Nothin like a good wank i reckon or bagging of big tyres, big exhaust and the high revin tune of a gear drive. |
