Transmission mount / bolts might not be fully tightened? It's happened to me in my previous Ford and after tightening up the mounting bolts, the vibration stopped.

Driveshaft may not have gone back on the exact same way either.

How about the yokes on the tail shaft?
I had vibration as mentioned above 100 until the yokes were replaced.

Are the torque converter bolts tight??? Are the O2 sensors re-connected??? Are the engine mounts OK ( engine twisted to remove tranny ).?????

{USERNAME} wrote: Driveshaft may not have gone back on the exact same way either. This shouldn't matter, but sometimes it does. Ford guys always say to mark the diff and shaft flanges, so they go back on in the same place. Sounds odd, but it does happen. Maybe you should undo the 4 tailshaft bolts, spin the shaft 180 deg, and bolt it back up. Go for a fang and see what happens. You might be lucky. Also, while your under there, check all the crossmember, bellhousing, etc bolts are tight, and check the tailshaft for dents/bumps, and check the unis for play or damage. If they dropped you tailshaft, it could be the problem. Good luck.

Thing is, it's vibrating in park so it can't have anything to do with the tailshaft.

Check convertor bolts make sure the trany has been mounted properly. Check the balancer on front of engine possiblity that it may be shagged..

On the driveshafts at the diff end Ford from factory put yellow paint on both the driveshaft and the diff to indicate which position it should be in. It's not related, but the harmonic balancer had similar symptoms for me.
