{USERNAME} wrote: From what I can gather, Matt @ BPR has quite a few strategies available for the AUs. With any luck, you will be covered. If not, not all is lost. If you can get a read of your tune and send it off to a bloke in the US, Adam Marrer @ Pops Racing, he will be able to create a strategy for you... at a cost. I've had a guy in the UK create a few strategies for me which cost me about 10% of what Adam charges, but I don't think he'll be doing any more for Aussie cars as the demand isn't there to justify the amount of time he spends on them. I was running the same top end kit in my EL XR8 and was really happy with it. I think you will too, once you get her tuned. I made 275rwhp on a DD Dyno on 38 degree day after heaps of power runs. I just tuned an EL Fairmont with the same kit on the weekend on a Mainline dyno that made 278rwhp through the auto. Both cars running on the Quarterhorse. Hey Scaffy... in your top end Kits, did you have a stage 1 or stage 2 cam??? As you may know, my engine only made 227rwhp.... which is way down... though dyno did read a faulty cam senor so I am changing the synchronizer shaft , before giving it another dyno run.... anyways TFlow said i should be around the 300-10 rwhp range and you where 275rwhp...so i am just wondering whats the difference between our kit. Mine - Street Burner Upper and lower intake with 1 inch space.,,, Twisted wedge 170cc heads,, TF Stage 1 cam,,,TF 24 lb injectors,, Holley 70mm TB,, Pro M 75mm MAF,,, Twin air induction, K&N box filter, stock air box,,, Stock 302 short engine,,, MSD coil pac + 8.5mm leads,,, Tuffy extractors 'not tuned' 3 inch pipe, cat back.... Haltech Interceptor. Basically - I believe I ve got 40 plus hp still left in my engine... and like every gear head on this site, I want it at the wheel

Both kits, exactly the same combos as yours, bar manufacturers of throttle body. Both with TFS1 cam. The US dynos generally run higher numbers than ours, so I suppose anywhere in the region of 275-300rwhp is what you'd be aiming for.
I'd scrap the platinum plugs and just run the plugs ebxr8 mentioned. Good all rounders and cheap, so you can change them out every few services. You don't want to be leaving plugs in alloy heads for 100,000km, or you might find they get stuck in there.

Just re reading this thread some 18 months later. ... And I'm not sure what happened. One minute I was talking to all the folk about Quater Horse... than I took my local tuners advice and went with the Haltech interceptor ... And what a nightmare run...
Now I'm getting ready for round two. Newer, bigger and better 347 and self tuning with Quarter Horse... And fingers crossed I'm in for a cool ride.

Yeap - fun for sure steep learning curve though.
Placed my order yesterday for QH / BE / EEC analyzer and LC 1 with sensor ... Which was another $720 out the door ...! Though I've really enjoyed reading all the 101 tech docs on eectuning.org and its starting to make sense ... But than I read something slightly more complex and I have not got a clue again. But QH it's defiantly the way to go and it makes good sense...
