Hi just thought I would ask if anyone has done a 351 Windsor with tunnel ram. I am nearly completed with one for my XW Falcon to replace my Faithfull old Clevo. I have included some pictures of My windsor as it is at the moment. Thought you might be interested. I am interested in some input as to carby selection. I have some 465s calibrated for Tunnel Ram but I also have the opportunity to swap for a pair of 660 center squirters. I have never had a Tunnel Rammed engine always been on my wish list. I just love the look to be honest so far its all new to me so heres a few specs for any of you who do have an idea. 11.4:1 comp ratio Comp Cams solid camshaft : ADV Duration 285 295 Dur @50 250 262 Valve lift .568 .592 Lob sep 106, AFR 195cc competition ally heads , Offenhauser 360 degree tunnel ram with price motor sport (PME) adaptor plates. My son is an apprentice Engine Machinist so this is a Father son project all built in the back yard.

Cool setup!
Carb sizing is going to be based on the use of the engine, rpm range, etc. For example, if it is an auto, with a 2500 stall, 3.5/3.7 diff, the 465's will be plenty big enough. If it is a manual, or has a 4000 stall, with 4.1 or shorter gears, the carbs could be bigger. The old 660 centre-dribblers are not really a street carby, more a drag-race thing, but if they are set-up properly they will work ok. At the end of the day, a single 750 on a good intake will probably work better than the 'ram, but wont look as cool. Obviously the tunnel ram is made for high-rpm applications, so you may find it runs a bit ragged at low rpms, but they are fun when they work. Enjoy.

Oh, and have you checked if the distributor fits past the tunnel ram. Some are too big (outer diameter) and won't physically fit in there...

Yeah had problem with distributor clearance. I ordered adaptor from PME and it arrived here today. Heading into town tomorrow to get machine shop to press it all together on my MSD Dizzy. I have decided to try the 660s I think you may be right about them but thought I would give them a go. I have one fully rebuilt 465 so chasing another one the same model to do up. Just as back up.
