Talk to Jeff (XH5LWEPN), or see his heads & cam thread. I'm pretty sure his underdrives are documented in there.
Also, look at the E series 5L differences. Same engine, just different body.

I have em on my car. They are the ones from BPT.
They do make a noticable difference for what they are. Just make sure your alternator is in good nick too.

cheers phil ive got the b.p.t. race set on my elxr8 and yeah im happy with em. probably one of the best bang for buck mods out there for the windsor, nice litle gain (nothing huge but noticable) and not much money spent. there was a chrome set in the forsale section not so long ago (i think it was on here)

I have them, not from BPT but from states with modification to water pump pulley. It's meant to be a 10kw gain but all you really notice is that the car revs faster. Extractors is the best mod you can do if you haven't done it.

I had BPT 3 peice ones fitted to my ute before i was running the alloy heads. You can feel a slight difference in the ramp up speed of the revs, we just put them on a mates EL XR8 5spd and it definately made a difference in the mid-range, made the time between about 2800-4500 that little bit quicker, we all know how agonising that time can be with E7's and HO. Although i was running explorer, paceys, twin 2 1/4" exh with the E7's and the underdrives and still made 157rwkw, sure they must of aided in that.
Am still running them to this day and havent had a problem, but like stated above be sure alternator and cooling system are in good nick.

BPT Motorsport in Wangara, they can supply and fit them. I think you'll have a hard time finding them elsewhere. If i was you just fit them yourself, very very easy.

not really an issue unless your idling for hours in traffic, or driving at night with ultra high watt lights, or maybe a supa dupa stereo, I've never had a problem

I'm having trouble with mine with the lights on and with summer coming on the aircon is going to be a b**ch too. I think I'll try a smaller pulley before i change the alternator tho!

Had problem with BPT pulleys and alternator in 5.0L ED Fairmont - especially with thermofans and climate control running together.
Bolted in an EL 5.0L 110A alternator and used a VN alternator pulley. (55mm dia with 17mm shaft). Also ran another battery cable (16mm2) from + ve alternator terminal to +ve battery terminal. Richie.

The AU alternator pulley is also smaller than the e-series pulley.
