I have a few different styles of underdrive pulleys available - from the blue annodized Ford Racing products (suitably machined to bolt directly up to the Australian setup) or the full polished and clear powdercoated March 4 peice set (again - machined to suit our Australian waterpump and alternator). The Ford racing 3 peice set is $275 + postage and the more expensive March set is $400 + postage. Both sets will retain the original belt and will underdrive the alternator 22% and the water pump 14%.

Mr Landau

I dont suppose you sell these roller rockers aswell that people are suggesting do you? I would be enclined to go the 4 piece ones if at all, and i was just wondering what sort of time and price is the installation likely to cost. Might as well do it all at once and do the roller rockers as well as these underdrive pulleys if i have to get the chip remapped anyway.

Is there any real problem with underdriving the water pump and alternator by these 14 & 22%?

Mr Landau, do the underdrive kits affect the power steering by much or not at all?

There is little to no noticeable effect on accessories if you get the set that includes three pulleys. If you get the crank one, you may notice slightly higher temps or lower voltage outputs but when cruising this won't be a problem - only during idle. 8-)

Samsy - how'd you go with fitting that pulley? Did you need a hand doing it or are you certain you want to sell it.

The 4 piece March kit has crank, alternator and waterpump pullies, and has a billet cover which sits over the alternator pulley and hides the pulley nut and shaft. The March pullies are polished and then clear powdercoated with a "hard coat" so they will not require repolishing.

The 3 pulley sets slow the water pump and alternator down more than the single pulley kit.

I didn't notice any steering difference with the single pulley kit.

Aaron, the ASP website lists the single underdrive pulley that BPT sells as 25% underdriven on everything. The Ford Racing kit is only 22% on the altenator and 14% on the waterpump - this is using larger than stock alternator and waterpump pullies. The crankshaft pulley you have is much smaller than the Ford Racing set fitted to Barry_V's Love boat DC.
