Can anyone tell me the mods required to take the STD 5.0L to XR8 (185kw) or GT (200kw) spec

For the EL XR8, they had an Explorer intake and the extractors fitted to the EL GT.
The EL GT had a GT40 intake + phenolic spacer, GT40 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, 24# inj and MAF plus its unique extractors.

Nope, EL2 XR8 was definately explorer.

Question for someone more learned then myself.
What are the differences between the Cobra and GT40 Manifolds?
Is it the same lower, just a different upper?
And does the GT40 flow better?

Reasonably sure that the lower intake is the same on all but the uppers flow differently.
Between the Cobra and the GT40, the Cobra upper flows a bee's d**k more than the GT40 upper.

Cheers Vic.
It's all academic anyway.
It flows enough for me ;)
