Ford is replacing the 360cca battery that came in my AU XR8 with a bigger unit to handle the load this afternoon.

I need to know what size I should ask for. The battery needs to be able to handle a big stereo system with 2 amps running splits, 6-9's and 2 12" subs.

Thanks

Optima Yellow Top.. great battery. I'm running them in both my cars.

850CCA, 75A reserve capacity. Never seen 5L and 4L (11.7:1 Compression!!) engines crank so fast before.

Cost about $350 from most good batery shops.

Optima batteries will out perform any other wet cell battery of teh same, or even some larger, physical dimensions.

They also last for up to 15 years if you look after them. Compare that with 5 years out of a top-of-the-range wet cell battery.

Just get the biggest battery with the highest amps, longest reserve, and most plates per cell, that will fit for your budget and fit without modifing the battery tray or battery holder.
