No-such Docos exist on the net. Iv looked b4. Heaps of people do it but they dont write it up.
A windsor would be the best bet as they are alot smaller and easier to fit in. |

South African cortinas had the option of 302 windsors in them, there may be some info around regarding them, the parts may be able to be sourced from somewhere like rare spares??
The fact that Ford actually put them in there should mean that it is not too much of a difficulty. - Still probably won't easy though. |

Best to call up Hadfield or someone along those lines, they supply all the bits like engine and radiator mounts.
Can usually buy the whole kit and it's all street legal. |

Saffas had V8 Capris, Cortinas and Sierras.
Had a drive of a 289W TD with 5 speed behind it. Alloy heads, big cam etc and it went damn quick. |

Better buy a big shoe horn, he's gonna need it.
Windsor just fits in nicely, a Clevo is much bigger, good luck with that one. |

Clevo fits in a cortina just the same as a windsor. It goes in quite easily though. Only problem? I couldn't find an engineer that would allow a clevo in a cortina. All wanted a 302 windsor

Quite easily? A Clevo fills an XR to XF bay.
Not saying it wont go in, but what a pig it would be to work on. Personally i'm a Clevo man, always have been. |

A bloke I know owns a clevo powered cortina and I used to co-own a windsor powered cortina. The fitment looks no different in regards to how easy/hard it is to work on them.
Cortina bays aren't small. A Capri bay is actually larger than a falcon bay.

simple put a 302 clevo in it. just dont tell them about the 351 crank thats in there. you the deal pretty little 302 rocker covers and stock air cleaner with a nice little 302V8 sticker on it. |

They still wont allow a clevo even though it had the same pollution requirements as the cortina. I think they won't allow it as cranks are easy to swap. It's not so easy with a windsor.

If its under the weight vs capacity guidelines then you just have to make sure the emissions are right and that's about it. If its over the guidelines you need to prove that the chassis won't fail under the extra torque. And the authorities usually wont pass the work of any old joe weilding a welder withought a thorough inspection.
